Pitts S2B
This Pitts S2B came to us from Iceland. The owner requested that we get the aircraft registered in the US. The airplane
was located in Melbourne FL and so we went with the trailer to pick it up and bring it back to homebase in Leesburg. Here is
a list of the general items we have done to the airplane.

3. New tailwheel unit installed

The left landing gear drag tube had a nice sized dent on the bottom. AC43.13 provided a repair scheme and so we warmed
up the tube and straightend it as much as possible. Afterwards I fabricated a diamond patch per AC43.13 recommendations
and Steve Tig'd it in place. It came out looking real nice. I cleaned it all up, chromated it and painted it Tennesse
Red to match the rest of the airplane. I installed a new faring on the gear leg as well.
Both wheel pants had damage to the bottoms and also holes in the aft end's. We sanded these down, fixed the composite, filled
and faired with micro and then painted to match.
